Jordan 1 sizing is the most asked-about fit question in sneakers, and the confusion is understandable: Highs, Mids, and Lows all fit a little differently, and the leather construction means there is almost no stretch. Here is the straight answer from years of wear-testing.
The short answer
Jordan 1s run true to size for most feet, but the toebox is snug — especially on the High, where the structured leather does not give much. If you are a true medium width with no fit issues in other Nikes, buy your normal size. If you are between sizes or have wide feet, go up half a size. That single rule covers about 90 percent of buyers.
High vs Mid vs Low
The High has the stiffest build and the most collar padding, so it feels the most locked-in — and the least forgiving if it is too small. The Mid uses softer materials and a slightly roomier cut, so some people can stay true to size more comfortably here. The Low is the sleekest and most true-to-size of the three, with less ankle structure to fight. Also note: women's-exclusive colorways follow women's sizing, so men should go up 1.5 sizes (a men's 9 equals a women's 10.5).
When to size up or down
Size up half a size if your feet are wide, if you are between sizes, or if you plan to wear thick socks. Stay true to size if you have narrow or average feet and like a snug, locked-in feel. Never size down hoping the leather stretches — quality Jordan 1 leather barely moves. And always try them on (or measure) at the end of the day, when your feet are at their largest.
